2 | 3 | 4 June, 2006: The BardenCaster
This beauty was inspired by ever-talented Mandy Luke Thompson, and is now in her capable possession, being used as it
ought to be!
- Warmoth body with black double-binding
- Fender Deluxe Tele neck
- Two original Joe Barden Tele pickups
- Joe Barden bridge with Wilkinson intonated saddles
- 3-way Strat switch
- Black chrome knobs with white abalone inserts.
April, 2006: Fender '62 Sunburst RI with 1973 Tele neck
I always have at least one Tele set up for slide playing, and it's usually one with a maple neck. This one does the trick:
- Fender sunburst double-bound '62 RI body
- Authentic 1973 Fender maple neck
- An early '70s Gibson humbucker (with "Gibson" embossed on pickup cover) in the neck, a T.V. Jones HiLo'Tron pickup in the middle, and a new Joe Barden Tele pickup in the
bridge. Since they're all humbuckers, they work beautifully together.
- A Fender "F" B5 Bigsby
- A custom-altered bridge, where I used a cut-down adjustable plate with three brass barrels instead of six saddles.
- Electrosocket Jack Plate
- 3 on-off mini-switches (with special rubber-tipped collars) for each pickup.
- Chrome volume and tone knobs topped with gray abalone.

June, 2005: Custom-built Fender "Nocaster" I built this one out of parts from all over the place. It's a pretty accurate Nocaster recreation, and, as a extra stroke of good
fortune, it's absolutely the best feeling and sounding Tele I've ever owned. Really.
- Fender '50s RI body
- Fender 'Genuine Replacement' '50s maple neck
Glendale "Blackguard" bridge-plate and 'Original Intone' Brass Saddles
Early reissue Fender 'Nocaster' bridge pickup (the early ones read about 10K Ohms) and a Fender vintage RI neck pickup.
Correct pickguard, control plate, neck plate, knobs, screws, etc.
Actual '50s Dakaware switch tip for extra mojo!
