I'm a great Telecaster lover...for me, it's the one and only axe, my all time favorite! I recently I bought an old 1969 Tele Thinline, but it
was in a very bad shape; there was a large hole in the body which once held a humbucker pickup. The pickguard was gone, and the pickups didn't have any output anymore.
Also, the frets were very worn, the neck was warped, and the finish was natural, but not original. I decided to restore the guitar to it's original condition.
I put Seymour Duncan Vintage '54 pickups in it (vintage '54). I own 6 telecasters, among them a 1968 blonde Tele and a '52 vintage reissue Tele, but the Thinline is the best sounding and
playing axe that I ever had in my hands! |
